Jenny & Luke got married at the beautiful Healing Church of St Peter and St Paul and held their reception only a stones’ throw away in Healing Manor. Having the two venues so close together is not only convenient for travelling but really eases the general feel of a wedding day by reducing the efforts of the guests, let alone the bridal party. Jenny and her bridesmaids got ready for the day in Healing Manor then walked to the church for the ceremony. Luckily, the weather turned out great and there was no need for the umbrellas held nearby, almost as if their being there kept away the rain. It was such a lovely ceremony and I just loved the groom’s face as he prepared for his bride to walk down the aisle; it was so full of emotion.
The long path leading from the church door is the perfect place for a confetti line which then naturally leads the way back to Healing Manor for the drinks reception. They were able to enjoy their champagne outside while the bridal party had their wedding photographs taken by the very talented Nick Austwick. Then it was on to the dinner which was held in a converted barn. Jenny and Luke were able to personalise this space with details that were meaningful to them. Blue gems scattered around the room in remembrance of their loved ones passed.
There are so many areas around Healing Manor for couple photographs. We were lucky at that time of year to be able to walk through the golden fields at the back of the venue for some beautiful “golden hour” shots. They also have a little pond with ducks and geese and forests that you can walk through for truly magical and romantic pictures. Then it was back into the barn and onto the “chapel” area for the exquisitely choreographed first dance.
It was such a sweet and personal wedding, full of fun with a magician, pole performance, photo booth and a magnificent fireworks display to end the night. One of the best things about being a wedding videographer, is the unique glimpse I get into the lives and relationships of my clients. Jenny & Luke really looked after their friends and family on their big day and you can just tell how well loved they are.
